Galeazzi

The rooms don’t look like the pictures - they’re much smaller and the view isn’t worth paying for the trees block most of it if you’re not on the top floor. We booked a deluxe room with a bubble bath (which is standard according to the description of the room) we got a shower that wasn’t even a square meter big. After complaining about the room not being up to standard we got a different one the next day. Here we did got the bubble bath but I you wanted to have a quick shower we had to hold the shower head so I didn’t fall on our heads while showering. During the breakfast I asked the staff what kind of spreads that were presented (allergy wise) All 3 of them didn’t know. When we arrived nobody came to held with our suitcases (which we don’t mind) but then half an hour later a couple arrived in a Porsche and the staff even brought the trolley and helped lifting the suitcases from the car. It’s not because we arrived in “a normal Audi” that we don’t deserve the same treatment. The night guard didn’t speak English and was most of the time no where to be found. We didn’t like our stay - the services was below zero for the price we paid. The only good thing this hotel did was hiring Sara at the reception.

Overall it was an ok stay. Breakfast was good. The service was ok. The shower head fell off in room. Air con was not working in another. Parking was added on top of stay. Advise for hotel: 1) ensure basic maintenance of shower heads and air con units 2) include parking in total price. If you don’t like noise it is next to busy road so not that relaxing to chill by pool. Otherwise it was an ok stay. It was a ten minute walk to town so very good location!

We (2 adults + 2 kids) spent one night in Galeazzi. It was really nice classic hotel, about 500m walk distance from all the restaurants and the promenade. They had nice swimming pool and bar serving also the pool area. The public beach was also close, just few hundred meters away, if you want to swim in the lake Garda. Rooms were good size with own balcony, but there was no fridge/minibar in the room. The cordial service was excellent (special thanks to lovely and helpful reseptionist Sara). In addition the breakfast was also excellent and you could eat that in outdoors on terrace. Price-quality ratio gives 5 stars to Galeazzi.

Would definitely recommend. The hotel is traditional, totally charming as well as being clean and superbly located near to the lake, the old town and adjoining towns. What really makes the hotel is its staff. The staff, including the Manager Markus, the Ingram rep Ryan and all the other staff, cannot do enough to help and make your holiday an enjoyable one. The food was excellent. The environment of the hotel is such a friendly one and you will feel this as soon as you are welcomed on arrival. Cannot recommend the hotel and staff enough, thank you hotel Galeazzi!!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff (Inghams), spotless, but in need of a refurb which is happening this winter, with a reopening next year. Pool not heated. 10 minutes walk to Gardonne promenade in one direction or a small lakeside beach and port in the other direction. On the bus route and 15 minute walk to ferry piers for tours around the lake.

this was a great little hotel,on our first night our shower wasn't working,we reported it ,a new shower head was fitted within the hour.the managers couldn't do enough for you,nothing was too much trouble ,very ,very,helpful,they always has a smile on there faces even though it was only 5am in the morning when i was getting myself a brew some mornings.The young people that were waiting on were brilliant ,some were very young and yes they were a bit disorganized sometime's but we didn't find it a problem,there were three people that come to mind that were excellent,always had a smile,had a lovely chat,and couldn't be more helpful,they were Amy on the bar what a ray of sunshine,Lucas always had a smile and happy to have a chat asking us if we'd had a nice day and then there is Amiellia (not sure if iv'e spelt her name right)what a little gem i could have taken her home she was so helpful and cheerful,hope these people get some recognition for there hard work.Food was great but we feel there could be more Italian food.Now for the reps Mouse (thats her nickname) Amy they are very nice but not alway's organised we went on a day trip to Verona 4 people in our hotel had paid there money but there name wasn't on the list so weren't allowed on the coach because there was no room,this also happen to 6 other people on the next stop,so maybe these reps need to do a bit more checking guest on the morning but nobody even checked our names before we went to queue for the bus.Hotel was very clean.So we can't rave about this hotel enough,it's just the reps need more training,they were alot of people talking about these around the pool and at dinner time.So a big thank you to the staff at the Galleazzi for making our holiday a lovely stay even though we were only with you for a week,we left on Wednesday
